1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CertLake ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CertLake provides practice exam questions and study materials for Databricks certification preparation. The Service includes practice exams, progress tracking, and detailed explanations for exam questions.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to access the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Payments are processed through Polar.sh. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, and you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

4.1 Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of your initial subscription purchase. To request a refund, contact us at support@certlake.com with your account email and order reference. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically arrive within 5–10 business days.

Refunds are not available for: subscription renewals (you may cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged), cancellations made more than 14 days after the initial purchase, or accounts terminated for breach of these Terms. Approving a refund will immediately end your access to paid features.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display exam content
• Attempt to reverse engineer or scrape the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including questions, explanations, and materials, is the intellectual property of CertLake. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without express written permission.

7. Disclaimer

CertLake is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Databricks, Inc.. "Databricks" is a trademark of Databricks, Inc.. All certification names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. The Service does not guarantee that you will pass any certification exam.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CertLake shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, exam outcomes, or business interruption.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability; or (b) £100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
